As the new millennium began to unfold, there was an uptick in activity in the club. The LA Division attracted new members, including three men who had been members of the Corps of Rangers who came to the B&B after the Corps of Rangers dissolved. In 2006, the LA Division inducted six new members. Monthly meetings continued to take place on a regular basis. The numbers of beer busts the LA Division sponsored increased; in most years, the division sponsored at least four, and 2003 there were 8. The busts took place at the usual LA area bars, including Pistons, Gauntlet II, The Bullet, and The Faultline, as well as at The Barracks in Palm Springs. A portion of the funds raised at the beer busts was donated to AIDS charities. In addition, donations were made to other causes including PFLAG, the Tom of Finland Foundation, and the Rainbow Fund for Hurricane Katrina Relief. In 2009, the decision was made to add the One Institute to the list of charities that the LA Division supports. The annual Christmas parties continued. In the early years of the new millennium, the parties migrated around to varying locations, including the Burbank Board of Realtors in 2001 and St. Matthews Lutheran Church in North Hollywood in 2002. Starting in 2006, the parties took place most years at the Tom of Finland House, where at the time, Anthony Cendejas, one of the club’s members was living. In 2003, the club celebrated its 35th anniversary with an anniversary gala that took place in Palm Springs at the Palm Springs Riviera Resort and Racquet Club. In 2008, the club celebrated its 40th anniversary with a gala at the Beverly Garland Motor Lodge that included a sit-down dinner for 80.
Over the years, a number of club members had moved to Palm Springs. In 2004, there were enough current B&B members in Palm Springs and additional Palm Springs men interested in joining the B&B to permit formation of a Palm Springs Division. This division, known as the Desert Division, has a status like that of the San Francisco Division, as a separate but cooperating unit of the club.
